Four years ago the Alumni Association had 15 international chapters, none of which had been visited by Alumni Association officials within three years. Today, thanks to some strong coordination efforts with BYU–Hawaii, chapters are found in 56 locations internationally. In addition, each international chapter has been visited at least once—many several times—by members of the alumni board executive committee and the Alumni Association staff.
Reid A. Robison, ’75, who directs the international chapter program, credits much of the success to his work with Rowena P. Reid at BYU—Hawaii and to the alumni board. “Together we are striving to build unity and to support and create links to the university among international students, alumni, and friends,” he says.
