The 1954 varsity cheerleaders (from left, Barry H. Bright [BS ’58], Dallyne Brown Crowton [’56], and Ronald L. Hadley [BS ’61]) joined a host of student groups during the era—yell leaders, song leaders, flag twirlers, majorettes, Cougarettes, and pep squads—to rally BYU fans at campus events.
