Fa06_2598Within days of the June 23 groundbreaking, work began in earnest on the Gordon B. Hinckley Alumni and Visitors Center. Now rising from a concrete foundation at the bottom of a huge hole, the building will be complete in a year.

Donations to the building are still being accepted. The BYU President’s Leadership Council is matching alumni gifts up to $5,000, and Ira and Mary Lou Fulton are matching student gifts five to one. A book of donor names will be given to President Gordon B. Hinckley.
