In Search of Old Stuff
The Alumni Association is looking for BYU memorabilia to enhance the university’s special collections archive. All items, such as yearbooks, clothing, programs, and labeled photographs, are welcome.
“Some items may be displayed from time to time in the new Gordon B. Hinckley Alumni and Visitors Center,” says Linda M. Palmer (BS ’71), managing director of the Alumni Association.

Tons of Food
The BYU Student Alumni Association raised more than 31 tons of food during the 13th annual BYU/U of U food drive in November 2006. The donations to the Community Action Bank in Provo were enough to feed nearly 2,300 families for a week.
As has become the pattern in the friendly annual competition, BYU collected the most food and the University of Utah the most money. BYU raised $13,300 through $1 “Y Marks” sold at the BYU Bookstore and area businesses. Utah raised a little more than $28,000 and gathered close to 12,000 pounds of food.
“BYU won the football game,” says Curtis Isaak (BA ’92), the alumni program administrator who directed the drive, “but because of the combined efforts from the BYU and U of U student alumni associations, the community won the food fight.”
