READERSHIPA recent survey revealed that 380,000 people typically read some of each issue of BYU Magazine. It is the only publication distributed to this religious, well-educated, and prosperous group of BYU alumni, donors, students, and friends.
In the same survey, 93 percent of readers said the magazine’s overall quality was “excellent” or “good”; 95 percent said they trusted information in the magazine “entirely” or “very much.” Two-thirds said the magazine was either their primary or secondary source of information about BYU, rating the magazine higher than the BYU Web site and BYU Broadcasting. More than three-quarters said they read at least half of the magazine.
These readers were appreciative of advertising in the magazine, with two-thirds saying magazine advertising was either “very” or “somewhat” useful. More than 85 percent said they felt the number of ads was right.
