Ironman by the Numbers

Ironman James V. HansenJames V. Hansen (BS ’63) sums it up simply: “The Ironman is a fun way to stay fit. It’s an adventure.” So is golf, but this professor of information systems in the Marriott School of Management prefers the 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride, and 26.2-mile run. He doesn’t just compete—he’s won third place in his age group three times. Oh, and his age? 70 years and counting.
