Blue Bloods: A Leader’s Legacy

The comic strip has three panes. In the first, a man and woman stand in front of a painting. The man says, "As a visionary leader, he made strategic decisions navigating through the challenges presented by independence. Calm under pressure, he avoided hasty decisions and made hard choices for the greater god." In the second pane, the man continues, "When he stepped aside, he left things in a better place and passed down an indelible legacy," and the woman replies, "George Washington?" The final pane reveals that the painting spoofs Washington Crossing the Delaware by Emanuel Leutze. The boat is full of BYU sports gear and a BYU flag waves. At the helm stands recently retired BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe. The man says, "BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe."
