1997 Performing Arts South Pacific Tour

Participants in an alumni tour to the South Pacific will enjoy performances of BYU’s highly acclaimed Living Legends (formerly the Lamanite Generation) as they travel through beautiful Fiji, New Zealand, and Australia. The fully escorted tour, scheduled for May 3 through May 22, 1997, includes visits to such exotic places as Auckland and Rotorua, New Zealand; Cairns and Sydney, Australia; and Suva, Fiji.

Highlights of the tour include the famed Sydney Opera House and luncheon cruises on some of the world’s most beautiful harbors at Auckland and Sydney. While in Cairns, enjoy a full-day cruise to Agin Cour Reef, part of the Great Barrier Reef. Explore the brilliantly colored coral reefs through semisubmersible coral-viewing boats, or don a mask and snorkel to get as close as you want. In New Zealand, experience a traditional Maori ceremony, enjoy lunch at a kiwi farm, and motorcoach through the spectacular southern Alps.

Rates, based on double occupancy, include round-trip airfare from Salt Lake City, deluxe hotel accommodations, motor-coach and air transfers, breakfast each day, most entrance fees, and much more.

For rates, reservations, and a complete itinerary, write to Christine Burner, BYU Alumni House, PO Box 22420, Provo, UT 84602-2420; call (801) 378-6745; or address e-mail to christine_burner@byu.edu.
