Recent BYU graduates of the Department of Theatre and Media Arts joined together to create a commercial campaign for the “Spot On” Utah Film Commission Contest and took the competition by storm. Alums Melissa S. Brady (BA ’05), Ryan D. Cannon (BA ’05), Jedediah H. Cowley (BA ’06), and Paul R. Tuft (BA ’05) took the grand prize for the spots titled “Letterboxers” as well as honorable mention for another spot they entered called “Now There’s Utah.” The “Letterboxers” campaign aired on the Sundance Film Festival’s television showIn the Can, and in March “Letterboxers” won Best in Show at the 2006 Utah Addy Awards, beating out all other commercial production companies in the state.
