To buoy students’ spirits during finals week at BYU, parents can order a Finals Survival Kit, complete with front-door delivery and a hug, for their studying children.
The kits are loaded with goodies such as fresh fruit, a granola bar, cup-o-soup, juice, gum, licorice, jerky, pudding, cookies, hot chocolate, cereal, candy bar, nuts, a stadium cup, and an “I
Survived Finals” t-shirt. Also included is a finals schedule, a message from President Bateman, and a personal message from the student’s parents.
The Student Alumni Association started delivering Survival Kits 11 years ago
in an effort to encourage students during finals week. Last year over 1,600 kits were assembled and delivered by nearly 300 student volunteers.
The survival kits sell for $15, and the deadline is December 4 for fall semester orders. For more information, contact Heidi Hastings at (801) 378-7621, or by E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
