In conjunction with Campus Education Week, the Emeritus Alumni Association is sponsoring a family home evening for those who attended BYU prior to 1957.
Alumni activities administrator Ida Smith says Education Week is an ideal time to help bring emeritus alumni together. Many of them will be in town, and no classes are scheduled for Monday evening.
“We hope it will be a nice time for them to get together, enjoy each other’s company, and renew acquaintances,” Smith says.
The evening will include a light dinner along with activities and entertainment to help participants relive their days at BYU and see how the campus has changed. A cost of $5 will cover the dinner. The event will be Monday, Aug. 18, at 6 p.m. at the Alumni House. The Emeritus Alumni Association includes members of the class of 1957 or earlier as well as retirees of the university.
