Cyber Connections with Cougar Sports

Two BYU students and one alum, all self-proclaimed Cougar sports fanatics, have created a free e-mail service to keep BYU devotees anywhere in the world current on the daily happenings of BYU sports. They call it CougarFan Insider.

“We wanted to bring all the information about BYU sports to one location,” says John Ahlander, a graduate student in information systems management. He co-founded the service with fellow student Chris Kelly and recent BYU graduate Chris Stock. “The Internet has tons of sports information, but most people don’t have time to look it all up. We are sending it directly to their desktops.”

Each day, subscribers receive one or two messages packed with relevant quotes, statistics, and links to local and national press coverage of BYU sports. Messages also include weekly updates on former Cougars now scoring their touchdowns and shooting their three-pointers in the pros. To subscribe to the mailing list, visit the CougarFan Insider Web site (https://www.CougarFan.com).
