Y Alert
In the wake of campus threats nationwide, BYU has initiated the Y Alert Emergency Notification System to quickly disseminate information to the campus community in a crisis situation. Emergency messages can now be delivered through campus phones, to student and faculty e-mails, and to text-enabled cell phones.
HBLL Wired—Wirelessly
Researchers can now access the Harold B. Lee Library’s collections—and librarians—through a handheld device. The library’s holdings are searchable from a cell phone, and the Ask-a-Librarian service is available via phone, e-mail, text message, chat, or—lest we forget—a face-to-face conversation. Patrons can also tap into the library’s video collection from any campus computer through Byugle, the library’s new video streaming service.
Visit lib.byu.edu/m from your handheld device to search the library’s collection or lib.byu.edu/ask.html to Ask a Librarian electronically.
