BYU Changes High School Concurrent Enrollment Policy

In January BYU began accepting all college credit that appears on an official transcript from an accredited college or university, regardless of when or where the work was completed. This is a change from the previous policy, under which credit was not granted for classes taken at a high school during the normal high school day.

The university has approved the new concurrent enrollment policy to further encourage students to take courses that best prepare them for university-level classes. The policy will also help maintain a strong relationship with rural schools, which often depend upon concurrent enrollment strategies to enhance curriculums.

Info: Questions regarding this policy may be addressed to BYU’s Office of High School and College Relations, 801-422-5000.
