Blue Bloods: BYU’s New Medical School

Fall 2024 Issue

The comic has four segments. In the first, a doctor dressed as Cosmo the Cougar says "Time for your cat scan!" to a woman who looks scared. In the next, Cosmo crouches above someone on a bed and says, "Don't worry! This is my bedside manner." In the third, Cosmo says "Alrighty! We'll see you in two weeks," to a man he put in a pet cone. In the fourth, a businesswoman is standing by Cosmo, now dressed in his normal outfit. She's imagining the previous segments and says, "We're glad that you're excited for the creation of a new medical school at BYU, but we're afraid new mascots are not eligible to apply."

Comic strip starts with man looking at another man with a ice cream cone piled with scoops of ice cream. he asks, "Whoa! What is that?!" "You know how here at the BYU creamery they offer flavors like 'Kalani Sitake Road' and 'Pope's Postgame Snack'?" He licks his lip and looks to the top of his ice cream tower. "In honor of BYU Athletics joining a new conference, here is a dozen scoops of my favorite ice cream flavors. I call it 'The BIg 12'!" He begins to walk away from the first man, who says, "Ease up there buddy, or the Big 12 won't be the only thing expanding!"
