Japan, South Korea, Mongolia— BYU Vocal Point and Noteworthy’s first combined tour to Asia spanned two weeks and eight cities.
While Vocal Point has performed internationally before, the tour was Noteworthy‘s first outside of the United States. The two groups sang most of their songs individually but performed every opener and closer together, finishing with a group “selfie” with the audience.
Meeting the thousands of people who came to the shows was a highlight, says Jensen L. Diederich (’25), a member of Vocal Point. “I just love connecting with these people who have a totally different culture than me, who have a different background,” he says. “But at the same time, music is what connects us.”
