60 Jan Adams Martin (BS ’68; Brent L. [BA ’69]; Nogales, Ariz.) recently published her second novel, Heir of Deceit.

70 Fredrick C. Baird (BS ’70, MA ’73; West Jordan, Utah), who competed with the swim team when he attended BYU, was ranked first in three United States Masters Swimming events for his age group in 2013.

73 Richard L. Dewey (BA ’73; Provo) released the first book of a three-volume biography series titled Joseph Smith and the Latter-day Saints. Daniel D. Neville (BS ’73; Janene Webb [’74]; Kaysville, Utah) is the founder of Harvest Right, which sells heavy duty in-home freeze dryers. Ingo R. Titze (BS University of Utah ’63, MS University of Utah ’65, PhD ’73; Ruby Pittard [BA ’72]; Salt Lake City) is a founder and board member of the Pan-American Vocology Association, a group dedicated to advancing the study of voice for artistic and professional use.

74 Rick D. Nydegger (BS ’74, JD ’77; Denise Winegar [’72]; Highland, Utah), an attorney at Workman Nydegger, was included in the 2015 edition of The Best Lawyers in America.

75 Donald J. Black (BS ’75, MS California Western University ’80, PhD California Western University ’80; Ann Handy [’68]; Queen Creek, Ariz.) runs an early-Church-history museum in Nauvoo. The nonprofit museum is free to the public. Thomas R. Vuksinick (BS ’75, JD ’79; Lori; Salt Lake City), an attorney at Workman Nydegger, was included in the 2015 edition of The Best Lawyers in America.

76 H. Chris Kreitlein (BA ’76, MA Naval Postgraduate School ’86; Pensacola, Fla.) is a retired Navy commander and author of Simple Celestial: Navigation by the Heavens Made Easy. He recently sailed from France to the British Virgin Islands.

77 Brent A. Palmer (BS ’77, MBA ’79; Karen Testi [BS ’76]; Bellevue, Wash.), senior vice president of NewTower Trust Company, took his place as second vice chair of the board of directors for the Counselors of Real Estate.

78 Brent P. Lorimer (BA ’78, JD ’82; Leslie Thacker [’80]; Salt Lake City), an attorney at Workman Nydegger, was included in the 2015 edition of The Best Lawyers in America.

82 Robin Lesser Laubaugh (BS ’82; Bryan; Wadsworth, Ohio), the first female mayor of Wadsworth, Ohio, recently chaired the efforts for the community’s bicentennial celebration.

83 Barton R. Bowen (BS ’83, MBA University of Phoenix ’98, MPA University of Utah ’99, PhD University of Utah ’05, MEd Plymouth State University ’12; Nancy Gibson [BS ’83]; Snowflake, Ariz.) published a book, An End to World Poverty, originally written as his doctoral dissertation in 2005.

84 Diane Green McFarlin (’84, Ronald S. [BA ’83]; Modesto, Calif.), who put her schooling on hold due to family needs, is now working on her bachelor’s degree from home and is only a few classes away from graduation. Daniel T. Truman (BA ’84; Hendersonville, Tenn.) is a keyboard player and cofounder of the Nashville Tribute Band. The band’s latest album, Redeemer:
A Nashville Tribute to Jesus Christ
, reached the top 10 on the Billboard Christian chart.

85 John M. Guynn (BA ’85, MS ’87, JD University of Virginia ’89; Jessica Page [BA ’99]; Salt Lake City), an attorney at Workman Nydegger, was included in the 2015 edition of The Best Lawyers in America.

86 Phillip J. White (BS ’86; Susan Hurley [AA ’86]; Birmingham, Ala.) was promoted to vice president of sales at MedjetAssist, a global medical transport membership program.

88 Jill Holley Shrope (BS ’88, MS East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania ’97; Jamie; Sussex, N.J.) was selected as the New Jersey Governor’s Educator of the Year at High Point Regional High School, where she has taught for 23 years.

90 Mette Ivie Harrison (BA ’90, MA ’90, PhD Princeton University ’09; Matthew G. [’93]; Layton, Utah) is the author of numerous books, and she recently published The Bishop’s Wife, a mystery novel.

93 Jason T. Deere (’93; Sonja Predovich [’94]; Franklin, Tenn.) is a songwriter, record producer, and cofounder of the Nashville Tribute Band. The band’s latest album, Redeemer: A Nashville Tribute to Jesus Christ, reached the top 10 on the Billboard Christian chart.

96 Michael A. Coleman (BA ’96, MBA Columbia University ’05; Kristy Jensen-Coleman; Salt Lake City) was an executive producer for Foxcatcher, a film that nabbed five Oscar nominations. Leslie Whyte Graff (BS ’96, BS ’99, MS ’01; Allen T. [BS ’96, MBA ’98, MS ’98] Sutton, Mass.) was recently interviewed by Forbes because of her wide-ranging interests and expertise. The mother of three is an artist, online course creator, and psychosocial and developmental specialist. Iain Hunter (BA ’96, MEd ’97, PhD Oregon State University ’01; Adrienne Rogers [BS ’95]; Provo), a BYU exercise science professor, placed first in the masters division (and fourth overall) in the 2014 St. George Marathon. Aaron B. Skonnard (BS ’96; Monica Michalek [BA ’97]; Kaysville, Utah) is the cofounder and CEO of Pluralsight, a leading online professional training provider. Nesha Glenn Woodhouse (BS ’96; Cameron T. [BA ’96, MBA ’99]; Spanish Fork, Utah) is the owner of Lifehouse, a dance school in Salem, Utah, that teaches students to value personal growth over comparison to others.

97 Eric S. Baxter (BA ’97, JD ’00; Saralyn Wilcox [BM ’95, MM ’97]; Silver Spring, Md.) is on the senior counsel of the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, the law firm that recently won Burwell v. Hobby Lobby. Jens C. Jenkins (BS ’97, JD George Washington University ’00; Michelle Springer [BS ’01]; Holladay, Utah), an attorney at Workman Nydegger, was included in the 2015 edition of The Best Lawyers in America.

Sara Dansie Jones (BS University of Utah ’98, JD ’01; Matthew S. [BS ’99]; Salt Lake City) founded a technology consulting firm, IFINIDI, focused on product innovation, talent growth, and advocacy. Hannah Clayson Smith (BA Princeton University ’95, JD ’01; John M. Feriante (BS ’02, JD Southwestern Law School ’10, MBA Claremont Graduate University ’13; Menlo Park, Calif.) is the cofounder and COO of Adora, a mobile advertising app that allows users to donate to charity through mobile ads. Brent Eric Smith (BA ’02; Christie Herman [BA ’00]; Anren, China) recently accepted a position as English Department head at Confucius International School, Chengdu.

04 R. Tony Caliendo (JD ’04; Jill; Mesa, Ariz.) was promoted to partner at law firm Perkins Coie. Caliendo has a strong commitment to pro bono work and has also been an active Boy Scouts leader for several years.

05 David G. Brinkerhoff (BS ’05; Heather Taylor [BS ’01]; Peoria, Ariz.) is the chief technical and chief charitable officer of Adora, a mobile advertising app that allows users to donate to charity through mobile ads.

06 Regan K. Adamson (BA ’06, JD Wake Forest University ’10; Lindsay Romans [BA ’07]; Winston Salem, N.C.) joined Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton law firm as an associate. TJ Bliss (BS ’06, PhD ’13; Debra Moses [BA ’06]; San Jose, Calif.) joined the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation as a program officer in the education program. Emily Hardman (BS ’06, JD ’10; Arlington, Va.) is the communications director for the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, the law firm that recently won Burwell v. Hobby Lobby.

07 Russell W. Stevenson (BA ’07; Grand Rapids, Mich.) released a new book, For the Cause of Righteousness: A Global History of Blacks and Mormonism, 1830–2013. Ashton Epps Swank (BS ’07; Christopher [’13]; Wake Forest, N.C.) published a cookbook, Party Popcorn: 75 Creative Recipes for Everyone’s Favorite Snack.

08 Aaron D. Howcroft (BS ’08; Joriel; Mapleton, Utah) was named a global composite product manager for Sandvik Coromant. Tristan L. Nelson (BS ’08; Nicole Watts [BS ’07]; Layton, Utah) joined Stanley Consultants as a geographic information systems analyst. Rachel Willis-Sørensen (BM ’08, MM ’09; Rasmus; Dresden, Germany) received first prize in the 2014 Operalia Competition.

11 Bryce W. Hanks (BA ’11, JD Lewis & Clark Law School ’14; Lake Oswego, Ore.) joined law firm Hart Wagner as an associate. Rachel Chase Noorda (BA ’11; Las Vegas) and her husband, Robert G. Noorda (BA ’12), founded Thunderstone Books, which publishes bilingual Chinese/English children’s books.
