Over 12,200 photographs from 46 countries were in competition for only 100 spots in the fourth annual Art of Photography Show, which took place at the Lyceum Theatre Gallery in San Diego in spring 2008. Paul S. Adams (BFA ’92), assistant professor of photography, made the cut with this symmetrical shot of a Key West, Fla., pier. Adams’ work has been displayed both nationally and internationally and his photographs are included in several museums’ permanent fine art collections. Another Adams photo, “The Wave,” was awarded first place this year in a national juried show at the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art.
