In recent months, new leaders were appointed for the College of Nursing, the BYU Development Office, and the Jerusalem Center for Near Eastern Studies.
Elaine Marshall
In the College of Nursing, interim dean Elaine S. Marshall has been named dean. She replaced Sandra Rogers, now the associate academic vice president for international, distance, and continuing education. Marshall holds a bachelor’s degree and a PhD in nursing from the University of Utah.
Bruce M. Snow, former director of development for the J. Reuben Clark Law School, has been appointed executive director of development for BYU and BYU–Hawaii. Snow earned a bachelor’s degree from BYU and a JD from Western State University College of Law. He replaces M. McClain Bybee, now director of the LDS Foundation.

History professor Arnold H. Green has been named director of the Jerusalem Center for Near Eastern Studies. Effective July 1, he will replace R. J. Snow, who, with his wife, Marilyn, has served at the Jerusalem Center since June 1998. Snow will return to a faculty position in the BYU Political Science Department.
Arnold Green
Green has been a Fulbright research fellow in Tunisia and Yemen and a research fellow at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He has also taught at the American University of Cairo and at the Jerusalem Center.
