Climbing the Ranks

BYU came in at no. 71 in U.S. News & World Report’s 2010 rankings of “America’s Best Colleges.” The university is also 29th in the “Great Schools, Great Prices” category and 11th in the “Least Debt” category, which compares the average debt carried by departing graduates. The Marriott School of Management ranked no. 31 on the U.S. News list of top undergraduate business schools; the Fulton College of Engineering and Technology was no. 85 among undergraduate engineering programs.

Honored Employees

At BYU’s 2009 Annual University Conference, Thomas W. Sederberg (BS ’75), professor of computer science and associate dean of the College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, received the Karl G. Maeser Distinguished Faculty Lecturer Award, the highest honor bestowed by the university. As this year’s top administrator and staff honorees, Max L. Behling (’76), director of Digital Print Services, received the Ben E. Lewis Management Award, and Evie Forsyth (’85), the Anthropology Department secretary, received the Fred A. Schwendiman Performance Award.
