Framed by construction dust and excavators, three 8-foot-tall letters stand between the work-in-progress Fine Arts Building and the Wilkinson Student Center: B, Y, and U, installed just in time for 2024 graduation. Grads lined up to pose with their families for a novel BYU-themed photo op.

Five years ago Adam Parker, associate director of BYU brand management, thought students and alumni would appreciate a tangible connection to their pride in BYU right on campus. For Parker, the letters visually anchor student experiences, culminating in graduation, cataloged in social media posts and photo albums.

“So when you go back and look” through these memories one day, says Parker, “BYU is right at the heart of it.”
