The only one-piece swimsuit at this year’s Miss America Pageant was donned by Katie A. Millar (’08)—a neuroscience major who’d scarcely used mascara before. The reigning Miss Utah also added sleeves to the little black dress the pageant provided. She received a Circle of Honor Award from President Cecil O. Samuelson and the BYU Student Honor Association for her display of modesty in her accomplishments.
