Bonnie Brinton

Bonnie Brinton, professor of audiology and speech-language pathology, has been appointed dean of graduate studies at BYU. She replaces Addie Fuhriman, who was appointed an assistant to the president for planning and assessment.

“Professor Brinton is an accomplished scholar and has experience in graduate programs at all levels,” said Alan L. Wilkins, BYU academic vice president. “Her vision and energy will serve the graduate community well.”

Brinton received a master’s degree from San Jose State University and a doctorate from the University of Utah. She joined the BYU faculty in 1990. Prior to accepting her new position, she was serving as associate dean of the David O. McKay School of Education.
