President Merrill J. Bateman announced the appointment of Ford L. Stevenson, ’68, as dean of Student Academic and Advisement Services, replacing Erlend D. Peterson, ’67. Stevenson, who has been acting as interim dean since Peterson’s appointment as associate international vice president last fall, has worked in admissions since 1973 and as associate dean over financial aid and scholarships since 1990.
As of April 30 and for the next year, BYU students and staff with valid identification cards can use the UTA bus and train system at no charge.

The largest graduating class in BYU history, 6,425 strong, received degrees in April.
