You Be the Judge

On June 14 the U.S. Senate confirmed BYU general counsel Thomas B. Griffith (BA ’78) to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, a year after he was nominated by President George W. Bush.

A New President in Rexburg

Kim B. Clark, former dean of the Harvard Business School, will take the reins as president of Brigham Young University–Idaho after 27 years at Harvard University. Gordon B. Hinckley, President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, announced the appointment on June 6.

New Assistant Administrative VPs

Administrative Vice President Brad W. Farnsworth (BS ’79) has named Forrest L. Flake (BA ’76) assistant administrative vice president for human resource services, replacing R. Blair Condie (BS ’74), who has been called as a mission president.

Farnsworth has also named Ole M. Smith assistant administrative vice president for physical facilities, replacing Edwin Cozzens, who has retired.
