David K. Hart, the J. Fish Smith Professor of Free Enterprise Studies in the Marriott School of Management, has been named the recipient of the 1996 Alumni Professorship. The professorship, which honors a faculty member for teaching excellence, carries a three-year stipend provided by the BYU Alumni Association.
Professor Hart received a BS degree from BYU, an MA from the University of California, Berkeley, and a PhD from the Claremont Graduate School. He has received numerous awards and recognitions, including being named by his peers as the Marriott School of Management’s Outstanding Faculty Award recipient for 1993. His academic specialization is in the area of ethics and values.
