1998 WOMEN’S CONFERENCE SET



The annual Women's Conference co-sponsored by BYU and the Relief Society of the LDS Church will be April 30 and May 1 at BYU. More than 90 concurrent sessions and 100 presenters will explore a variety of topics centered on the theme "May Christ Lift Thee Up" (Moro. 9:25).

Virginia H. Pearce, former counselor in the Young Women general presidency, will present the keynote address on Thursday, April 30. That evening, Elder Marlin K. Jensen, of the First Quorum of the Seventy, and his wife, Sister Kathleen Jensen, will be the featured fireside speakers. Keynote speakers on Friday will be Kathy D. Pullins, assistant dean of the J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU, and VirginiaU. Jensen, first counselor in the Relief Society general presidency.

Seven sessions will be broadcast over KBYU-TV and the Church satellite system in the United States and Canada on Friday, May 1, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (MDT).
