BYM NAMES ASSOCIATE EDITOR

A wordsmith in every good sense of the word, Mary Lynn Bahr has been named the new associate editor of Brigham Young Magazine. "I love words," says Mary Lynn, who will assume her new duties in August. "I love the way they taste; I love their texture."

As a careful editor and a thoughtful writer, Mary Lynn received a bachelor's and a master's degree in English from BYU. While teaching freshman composition during her graduate program, she published personal essays and poetry in various publications.

Since finishing her degrees, Mary Lynn has edited with the LDS Church curriculum department and has taught English and history to middle school and high school students at The Waterford School in Sandy, Utah.

Lisa Ann Jackson, a former BYM intern, is filling in as interim associate editor until Mary Lynn starts. A graduate student in English, Lisa worked full-time for a year and a half as a writer and editor for BYU's David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies. She has also contributed as a freelance writer to BYM, the Ensign, and the New Era.
