ACCOUNTING STUDENTS DOMINATE AGAIN
For the second year in a row, BYU accounting students placed among the top three schools in both the undergraduate and graduate levels of the nation's most prestigious tax competition.
BYU's 1999 undergraduate team, pictured above, took first place in the Arthur Andersen Tax Challenge, winning $20,000 in scholarship money for the university (from left, Heather Mabey, competition official Howard Engle, Tracy Ludington, Kara Arnold, faculty adviser Robert L. Gardner, and Bryan Adams). BYU's graduate team, which consisted of Shane Boyer, Ben Hays, Mark He, and Danny Sims, finished third in their division and received $5,000.
The Marriott School has scored more top-three finishes in the competition's eight-year history than any other school.
