BYU HOLDS ITS OWN IN POPULARITY CONTEST

BYU Holds Its Own in Popularity Contest

BYU is very popular with students, second only to Harvard, according to U.S. News and World Report’s latest listing of the most popular national universities. The publication’s rankings are based on each institution’s admission “yield”—the percentage of admitted students who go on to enroll. BYU’s 77 percent yield was just shy of Harvard’s 79 percent in this year’s ranking; last year BYU and Harvard tied for first.
