TUITION INCREASE

To keep pace with rising costs, BYU will raise tuition for undergraduate students by 4.1 percent, or $60, in 2001–2002, bringing the rate per semester to $1,530. Tuition for graduate students will be $1,930 per semester, an increase of 11.6 percent. Law School and Graduate School of Management students will pay $3,070, an increase of $300 or 10.8 percent.

"A larger-than-normal increase was approved to help enhance the curriculum of our graduate programs, particularly for technological support," said Administrative Vice President Brad W. Farnsworth, '79.

Undergraduate tuition for spring and summer terms will increase from $735 to $765. Spring/summer 2002 rates for graduate students will be $965.

As in the past, students who are not members of the LDS Church will pay one-and-a-half times the listed rates.
