Sweet Seats: The Marriott Center’s lower-bowl benches are being replaced with padded blue seats that are wider and offer more leg- room. About 130 of the old benches were sold to fans to fund student-athlete scholarships; more will be sold at the August Cougar Kickoff event. The student section will move from the north sideline to behind the west basket, and approximately 75 percent of the seats in the arena have seen a price reduction for men’s basketball tickets.
